about the firm

In the 1920's two attorneys, Morris S. Waldman and John McOsker independently opened their law offices in Providence, Rhode Island.  Before retiring in the 1950's, their sons, Irving J. Waldman and David J. McOsker, came into practice with them, and thus the law firm now known as McOsker, Moonan & Waldman came into existence.  Irving J. Waldman, who was admitted to the Rhode Island Bar in 1963, continues to practice on a reduced basis, and David J. McOsker retired in 2010 after a long career with the firm.  The firm continues to represent original clients from the 1920's and 1930's, and several are fourth generation clients.  Through the years, other lawyers were partners in the firm, including Milton Isserlis and Gerry McOsker, both deceased, and Robert E. Davignon, who retired in 2009.  The firm name has always carried the names "McOsker" and "Waldman" and is now known as "McOsker, Moonan & Waldman" with the addition of Kristen Prull Moonan in 1993. Kristen Prull Moonan is licensed to practice in Massachusetts, as well as Rhode Island.  At McOsker, Moonan & Waldman, our clients come first.
